Nacel Australia abides by the Commonwealth Privacy (Private Sector) Amendment Act 2000 that gives individuals the right to know:
 

  who will receive their information;

  what the information is being collected for;

  why the information is being collected; and

  how the information will be used.


   Nacel Australia will only collect information to perform functions relating to cultural, language and student exchange programs conducted by Nacel Australia.

   We will protect the privacy of the information you provide to us and pass on such information to partners directly associated with the conduct of your specific program and only that which is necessary for them to perform the functions related to your program.

   We will pass on to other third parties such as airlines, tour companies, insurance providers or other related service providers, only such information as is necessary to fulfil arrangements made on your behalf in relation to your program.

   In providing your personal information to us, you consent to Nacel Australia using this information for the purpose of making and completing arrangements relating to the cultural, language or student exchange program of your child and any subsequent hosting.
 

 

  Cooling off period:  In the case of a school group, a student can withdraw their application to participate in a Nacel Australia exchange program within fourteen days after we receive the initial application. The full deposit paid with the initial application will be refunded. This offer is not extended to individual applicants.

   Payment options:  Payments will not be treated as made until the date on which the payments are actually received and processed in the normal course of business.

   By cash:  You may make your payment by cash in person to:

   By cheque or money order:  Please mail your cheque or money order payable to Nacel Australia. Write the student’s name on the back of the cheque or money order.

Cheques are subject to being met on first presentation. Ten working days are to be allowed for cheque clearance.

Cancellation Policy:
   
CANCELLATIONS MUST BE SENT IN WRITING to Nacel Australia. The date of postmark will be considered as the date of cancellation. If a participant cancels after submitting the application form, $50 is retained. Cancellation after the Application Dossier has been sent, incurs a $350 fee for long-term programs. After the return of the Application Dossier, a cancellation fee of $400 is charged ($600 for long-term), and if cancellation is made after the Departure Package has been sent, the fee is $500 for short term programs. If a long-term applicant cancels after a formal acceptance letter is sent, $700 is retained. If an applicant cancels sixty days or less before departure, $700 is retained by Nacel ($1000 for long-term). Refunds at any time are contingent upon non-obligated sums. At the discretion of Nacel, fees levied for cancellation of the program are held in credit for future participation in another Nacel program.

   In general, deposits paid for airline reservations and services such as hotel and other travel products are non refundable and subject to separate cancellation fees, for example, a non-refundable deposit of $200 for airline reservations and $500 fee for a cancelled airline ticket. For a cancelled hotel booking, a fee of one night’s accommodation is charged.

   
Responsibility:  We, as the principal, act as agents only and are responsible to you for arranging and providing the services offered; however, in the absence of negligence on our part, we are not responsible for personal injury or property damage or loss of service caused by the air carrier or other suppliers of any of the services being offered in connection with this program. Airfares are for return travel and no refunds can be made for unused segments.
Nacel reserves the right in its discretion to alter or omit any part of the program or adjust program costs if major changes occur in any area. Any resulting extra cost therefrom must be paid by the participant.
