Become a Nacel Australasia Chaperone and visit France

If you are 25 years old or over and are an intermediate/fluent French speaker, you could be travelling with Australian high school students to France to explore & enjoy all that this beautiful country has to offer, while keeping in contact and supporting students.

About the Chaperone Role
The primary role of a chaperone is to provide support to students and maintain regular contact with and constant support of the students. While overseas, you have the opportunity to enjoy the culture and language of the host country and share in Nacel’s spirit of friendship and adventure with their respective host family.
You should have experience working with young people and take responsibility of a group of secondary school students. As such, you will need have the skills to listen patiently and carefully to students and show understanding and empathy in respect to their needs or concerns.
Furthermore, chaperones must possess sufficient command of the language of the host country to communicate effectively with host families and local Nacel representatives.
Nacel will arrange accommodation with full board with a homestay family. Or you can arrange your own accommodation, at your expense, subject to Nacel approval.
To participate in the program, you will be required to pay $1500 for flights & travel costs. In return, Nacel provides a $1,000 per diem payment for associated costs during your stay. Nacel will also arrange for a domestic flight between state capitals if required to rendezvous with your travel group.
Successful applicants will be required to pass a Working With Children Check and will need to attend pre departure meetings with schools in Australia.
